Come
sit by the lake and enjoy an
evening of music under the stars. Artists from around the
world will come together to perform light works for the
audience. Bring blankets, lawn chairs and your own refreshments
for this "Ravinia-style" event.
What is the Future of Music? Lecture and Discussion Series
Monday, June 16 thru Friday, June 20
LaSalle Public Library
Dr. Kevin McMahon will lecture and facilitate disucssions about the future of classical music using information found in several books and drawing from his personal experiences as a conductor, composer and violinist over his lifetime. Active participants attending the seminars are expected to read the required books to enable them to get the most out of the lectures and to allow them ample information to approach difficult questions. Auditors are also encouraged to read the literature, however it is not required.
