Supporting the Arts

2008 Support Brochure
Sponsorship Form

The Maud Powell Music Festival needs the support of community businesses and individuals to maintain and expand its vision of fine arts performances and education in the Illinois Valley.

The Maud Powell Music Festival is funded completely by the community, through donations, grants and the support of the city of Peru, Illinois. Generous donations have allowed the festival to offer the Powell Festival Institute to young musicians at a fraction of the cost of other music camps. Donations have brought violinist Rachel Barton to the festival in 2002, flutists Doriot Dwyer in 2003, Broadway performer and Oglesby native Ron Sharpe in 2004, and trumpet professor and Peru native Randy Grabowski in 2005.

Premiere performances of musical works for orchestra, opera and ballet have been enjoyed by audiences each year. you can help in many ways. With the help of believers in the importance of the Fine Arts, the Maud Powell Music Festival will continue to bring exciting events to the Illinois Valley. Everyone's help is needed.
